Revisiting this old music video from 2010 is always a pleasure. Unlike many others, it has a timeless quality that never really goes out of style. To make it, I used small cameras originally designed to be mounted on trucks as parking aids. I took them apart, modifying the lenses and focal plane to create a unique aesthetic.
I was captivated by the creative freedom these tiny cameras offered (which don’t seem so small anymore compared to today’s models).
I loved their versatility and the spontaneous way they captured footage, often surprising me with unexpected shots.
I look back fondly on that period of experimentation, when everything seemed to be changing.

Riguardare questo mio vecchio video musicale del 2010 è sempre un piacere. A differenza di molti altri, mantiene intatta una freschezza e un fascino che sembrano non passare mai di moda. Per realizzarlo, avevo usato delle telecamere minuscole, pensate originariamente per essere montate sui camion come supporto per il parcheggio. Le avevo smontate, modificando le ottiche e il piano focale, per creare un’estetica particolare.
Mi affascinava la libertà creativa di queste telecamerine (che oggi non appaiono più così piccole, se paragonate a quelle moderne).
Adoravo la loro versatilità e la spontaneità con cui filmavano, lasciandomi spesso sorpreso dalle inquadrature che ottenevo.
Ripenso con affetto a quel periodo di sperimentazione, quando tutto sembrava in trasformazione.
